Mini Target Haul!

There is only one positive about going grocery shopping by myself and that is that I can peruse the aisles of Target at my own pace and check out all of the makeup! And that is exactly what I spent this past Sunday morning doing! I had every intention of staying in the grocery section, but it just so happens in my store the makeup is right next door. I couldn’t turn away with all that glossy goodness staring me in the face, so I walked [skipped like a schoolgirl] over.

Well, at that point I thought I might as well just take a peak at the clothes, what could it hurt?

and.then.this.happened...

It really could have been worse. I had other things in my hand that I put back; clearly I have great self control. Here's a list of the swag I scored: EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm ($2.99), Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Foundation Stick in Caramel ($10.99), EOS Nourish Hand Lotion in Fresh Flowers ($1.99), Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Nude Eclipse (on sale for $4.94 from $5.49), Pixie Shea Butter Lip Balm in Natural Rose ($8.00), e.l.f. Blushing, Bronzing and Blending Brush ($1.02) and the Xhilaration dress (couldn't find it online to link for you, but it was $24.99).

The EOS lip balm and lotion were repurchases to replenish ones I've used up. Everything I have tried from this line is amazing! I won't use any other shaving cream, it's the best. If you haven't checked it out, do so - it's so moisturizing you don't even need to lotion up afterwards.

It seems like the Pixie lip balms have been all over YouTube and blogs lately. I'll admit, the first time I saw them, I thought it was play makeup for little girls - I don't love the packaging. I do however love the color payoff and the moisture it gives my lips! And the scent; can we please talk about how delicious this smells? It's this yummy light vanilla scent - I kinda want to sit around and sniff it all day. Would that be weird?

I've been lusting after a new nude lipstick or gloss lately (I blame Kim Kardashian, of course), and this Rimmel Lacquer caught my eye. I really like the color and the shine it gives off and I love the fact that it's a twofer - lipstick and gloss in one! I'll probably still layer it over a nude lipstick so none of my natural rosy lip color shows through though.

I'm sure some of you are wondering why I purchased the Sonia Kashuk foundation in such a dark shade. Well, I'm planning to use it as a contour. Most other bronzers have shimmer in them and when you contour, you want it to look as natural as possible (i.e. sans shimmer). Foundation sticks like this one are probably your best bet for keeping yo' look looking natural. I also picked up the e.l.f. brush for this purpose. Not only was it cheap, but it looked like the perfect shape to get the job done. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes!

The bright tribal print of the Xhilaration dress caught my eye from across the store. Once I got up close and saw that the pattern cinches in at the waist, I was sold! This little trick really makes your midsection look all the svelter; I own multiple dresses like this for a reason!

Well, that about wraps up this unexpected little haul. I've decided to put together a look using all of the products mentioned today and the dress! I'll be posting this some time next week and will also be letting you all know what I thought of all of the products after playing with them a bit. Be sure to come back and check it out!

x's,
